Hank : The thought of actually getting to converse with you would be a great honor indeed. Is it really you? Only an entertainer from your era would be down-to-earth enough to do such a thing. The big shots of today would not care enough to bother. If you reply, I will print it out, and put it with the other few valued items I cherich. I found your site through the search. I was looking for Roy Rogers collectibles. A few years ago I found a RR harmonica in a box of letters dated late thirties to early forties. His picture is on the box, and he looks like a teenager. The harmonica is white with chrome sides. His name, etc, is also on the chrome side pieces. I have looked for it in several large collector's books that list RR items, but none show it. I have it locked away with the Lubbock, Tx. paper that has the front page story of Roy's death. I'm thinking that it might be worth something. I saw you had a RR flashlight in box. Boy, they would make a nice pair. Still have it? God bless you, Hank. I never had the honor of seeing you in person, but will if you ever work in this area. Did you ever make it out to Hobbs, New Mexico? Do you remember the "Club Maurice" and it's owner Snuffy Smith? Jim Ed Brown was here a few years ago, and said on stage that he remembered working the club in the fifties with Jim Reeves. For meanness, Snuffy hid an expecting cat in their trailer. Jim Ed said that Mrs. Reeves kept the cat and it's kittens, and had them for many years after Jim died. Hope to hear from you. Marvin Burrows P.S. : I still sing your's and Web Pierces songs in the shower. Please Help Me, and Tupelo Cty Jail.
