I use to go to the park at Reading,Pa back in 1950 to 53. Shorty and his wife Dolly would come and eat with us at our picnic table. The name of the park was Santa Fe Ranch and the band was the Santa Fe Ranch Boys. I remember 3 of them as Herbie Johnson on the Cryin Steel Guitar and he played the Cryin Steel Guitar Waltz and Jack Day and Shorty's brother Luchie on the Accordian.
Those were the days. Shorty also played in a movie called "Powder River Gunfire" I still have a photo of Shorty.
