Mr. Locklin: I re-estiblished contact after quite a few years with Doyce Nolan. I noted that he had you listed as a friend and he suggested that I write you. As a rule I don't write fan letters but in this case I thought I'd make an exception. Dayce tells me that your health isn't all that good, so I thought I would drop you a line and try to share a bit of your problem. I've been a Locklin fan for more years than I care to admit. I shouldn't be saying this, but the first song that I taught myself to play on my guitar was "Send Me The Pillow" in ke od C. The reason that I shouldn't be saying that is because you'll probably send me a bill for un-paid royalties :-) I was surprised to see you listed as a friend on Doyce's page. The last time that I he was up here in Nova Scotia was when country music was going through on of it's transition periods. Billy Raye Cyrus was making a name for himself with "Ackey Breaky Heart" and I remember Doyce saying that country music was the devils music and that we shouldn't be listening or singing it.
