"Foreign Car" was done by Hank Locklin on his 1962 album titled "Please Help Me I'm Falling". Side 1 started with "Please Help Me I'm Falling". Side 2 led off with "Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On" Those 2 alone make it a great album. But it also included "My Old Home Town" and "It's A Little More Like Heaven". "Foreign Car" was the last song on side 2. The album had 12 songs. Some more of the words are as follows: Take a ride with me tonite after dark See the little foreign buggers down in the park I cannot figure out what they go there for You can't make love in a foreign car Cause you don't have room For your heart to beat All crowded up in a bucket seat Maybe you're not a lover But in case you are You can't do much loving in a foreign car This was one of the first albums I ever purchased. I have listened to it for over 35 years now. Should you wish to have all the lyrics, let me know. Good to see there are still people interested in older country songs which are really great! Dennis Munson P.S. There is some good guitar playing on Foreign Car, being a guitar player myself, and enjoying the guitar playing on the older records.
