Wanted everyone to keep their fingers crossed that Mr. Locklin will be one of those chosen to be inducted into the CMA Hall of Fame at its new opening in Nashville in May 2001. I understand that they will be inducting 10, yes 10, new members at that time in addition to the regular inductees in the fall. They have specific rules that they will be following so no letter writing will be able to influence them. Eligible individuals must have been a final nominee for the top five finalist at least three times. I don't know that the finalists names were ever published but I certainly hope that Hank Locklin and Don Gibson will be included in this special induction.
