Barb, Don't know if you are aware that there is a box set of old Hank Locklin songs which I believe was released by the Bear Family. It is titled Please Help Me I'm Falling and can be purchased at CDNOW on the internet. It is a great complilation of Hank's recordings from the early 60's and includes all the cuts from the album we spoke about which contains Fourteen Karat Gold. It is a bit of money but well worth it! You will find all the old favorites plus a lot of cuts that will quickly become favorites. I am fortune enough to already have most of the cuts on albums. However, albums do wear out, especially when they are played as often as mine. I am seriously thinking of purchasing this box set while it is stiil available so I can once again hear the clear versions of the songs without any scratching noises. Dennis P.S. I had written down the words to Fourteen Karat Gold but could not find them so had to listen to the record again in order to get you the words. As I put the album back in its jacket, I discovered the words - tucked in the album cover so I would know where they were. Is my age showing?
