A song I am trying to find for a dear friend

I was wondering if anyone can help me. A dear friend of mine is trying to find the writer, and Title of a song that has these lyrics:

Across the wild Mexican border
With no law and order
When Reno first brought me to this land
He was after the wild ones, the rough ones, the shy ones
Hoping that I would understand
There's too many long nights
And not enough bright lights
And it's so plain to see
That Reno's my husband, though he loves the young ones much more than he'll ever love me.

She thinks it was written in the sixties, but she's unsure.

She would be very grateful if someone could please tell he what the Title and Artist of this song is.
