I was invited to join the Opry by Ott Devine, who was Opry manager in 1960. It was probably because of Let Me Be The One and then Please Help Me I'm Falling doing so well. I have a tape of my first show as a member and it was Grant Turner who introduced me. He was a great person as well as a great announcer. We miss him.
